Tell us a little about your brand.
Duclos is a luxury leather accessories brand, focused on creating sustainable, bespoke products, crafted in Cumbria. Offering a ‘slow fashion’ alternative approach to shopping, our passion is quality over quantity. True craftmanship shines through in all products. Every accessory is individually hand crafted to order. By using the ‘design your bag’ tool via our online store, you become the designer. We offer full customisation with the choice of 10 external leather colours and 8 suede lining colours, gold and silver fixtures, three different strap types and initial monogramming if desired.
How and when did you start your brand?
Emerging from working on little projects for myself in my parents stone shed when having initially returned from living in New Zealand. Working on small side projects for friends and family, people would approach me asking to adapt bags they already owned or come up with new designs tailored to their needs. Customisation was at the forefront, I soon realised there was a market for made to order accessories, suited to people's different wants/needs. A year later back in 2020, Duclos was born! The main concept behind my products is to be able to offer a fully customisable piece unique to each customer.

What are your tips for customers who are interested in your products?
The biggest tip would be to head to the online store to see what we offer at www.duclos.co.uk. Tell us one secret that not many people know about your products or services?
I wouldn't say this is so much a secret, but many people don't know that I actually handmake each Duclos piece. Each piece is made in my Cumbrian workshop, and although I may get help with various aspects of the business, everything I currently sell, is made by myself. How do you feel about participating in London Accessory Week? What do you enjoy doing when you are not busy with your brand?
I'm super excited to have the opportunity to participate in a market specifically for accessories, one of its kind! Living in the Lake district, in my spare time locally I love to travel to a lake to swim, paddle board or lose myself walking up into the fells. Travelling is also a big passion of mine, be it travelling to different parts of the UK or abroad, immersing myself in different surroundings and cultures.
