Interview with An Artisan Brand Designer Eva Escamilla Tamarit
ENSEDARTE, is an artisan brand based in Valencia, Spain. It is specialized in hand painted silk and handcrafted products such as scarfs, shawls, ponchos, funs, jewellery and handbags.
How did you start your accessory brand? What are your sources of inspiration?
I love to express myself by painting on silk, inspired by the local Valencian cultural icons, such as oranges, seashores, flowers, architecture and famous painters to name sone.
Do you have a signature style? Tell us more about your most popular designs.
I have 2 special collections, inspired by the modernist architecture of 2 famous buildings in Valencia, the Nord train station in the Colon market. Booth designs express the Mediterranean colours and are one of the best sellers and most loved designs.
We would love to hear about clients and how you connect with them.
I've connected with people from all over the world at my workshop and shop, seated at the mosaic room on the Nord station, where they can watch me working every day and ask me about how I'm working and eager to listen to the story of the silk in Valencia.
Do you have a muse? Who is he/she? Why is he/she your muse?
My muse is a woman who is not afraid of shining, a woman that dedicates her time to herself without feeling guilty, that loves to express her personality with clothes and original accessories. Example I love @sissiottostyle, Simona Bertolotto
What's your proudest moment in your accessory designer career?
My proudest moment is to be recognized as an excellent artisan and included in the homofaberguide.com.
What is your dream project? If there are no limitations, what would you like to create?
I'd like to design, and hand paint an exclusive collection of scarves for HERMES.
