Meeting with a Scottland Based Eco-Conscious Knitwear Designer Jenny Robertson.

Jenny Robertson, founder of AnNead Hand Knitwear, is a spinner specialising in cobweb lace. She exclusively creates unique shawls, scarves and cobweb fingerless gloves, but also happy to attempt anything her customer suggests, she says.

“I aim for the highest quality with minimum environmental impact.”

How did you start your accessory brand? What are your sources of inspiration?

'I started the business with general knitting but decided to specialise in cobweb lace as that is my true passion. The colours I use are inspired by the natural world around me.'

Share the most favourite part of your job. Why do you do what you do?

I spin and knit because that is what I love doing. I love the chance to create beautiful things with passion.

How do you connect with your clients?

A lot of my clients find me online, but a lot also come from meeting at the Royal Highland Show, or visitors to the Isle of Eigg where I am based.

Do you have anything else you would like to let The Accessory Circle readers and customers know about you and your brand?

I really love my job and especially the commissions when there is a building of a relationship and special wishes are knitted into the piece. I love the challenge of creating something unique and special without a big environmental impact.

Love,

X Terrace Team
